Stainless Steel 416 Hollow Bar is a martensitic stainless steel that contains around 12–14% chromium, with added sulfur to enhance machinability significantly. It has a moderate carbon content, which allows for heat treatment to achieve greater strength and hardness. This alloy provides good tensile and yield strength while maintaining fair toughness. Although its resistance to corrosion isn’t as high as that of austenitic grades, it holds up well in mildly corrosive environments.
